FF7 Remake by Square Enix makes no sense as a remake of Final Fantasy 7 (1997) by Squaresoft. But FF7R makes perfect sense as a sequel to Crisis Core (the PSP Prequel game). It has the same bad writing, it controls like it, plays like it, and has the same upbeat happy-go-lucky tone (as opposed to the crushing dark atmosphere of the first game). Zack Fair is the God Emperor of Midgar, responsible for creating Aeris's character and naming Tifa's 7th Heaven bar. Cloud who? This truth nuke about FF7R is such a red pill, you won't be able to unsee it. Why SE thought this was a good idea, I'll never know. FF7 Rebirth was a disaster, and FF7 Revelation will likely sell even worse. The entire trilogy has been the Spirits Within of gaming, and has destroyed whatever goodwill most OG FF fans had left for the series.
