Layla is one of my favourite four stars in Genshin, but she’s often overlooked.
Her main story appearances were in time-limited events, so people who missed them didn’t get a chance to love her as a character. Her role in combat is one of the least glamorous, and she’s forever in the shadow of an archon. And to make it worse, many guides suggest a hybrid build for her which is misguided in my opinion, so her strength tends to be underestimated.
She’s one of the few cases where if I didn’t have her, I’d be tempted to pull on any banner she’s on despite the risk of disappointment when pulling for a four star, since she’s made that big a difference to my teams.
