Why is the CPU meter in FL Studio different from task manager in windows? They don't show the same CPU usage? In this video, I will explain why the CPU meter in FL Studio and windows task manager don't agree. This will be the case with all daws, not just FL Studio.
The CPU meter in FL Studio shows the CPU's ability to process audio in real time. This is measured by the CPU's ability to fill the audio buffer within the allotted time. Task manager in windows however shows the total overall CPU usage across all cores, which can be misleading. The CPU meter in your DAW is the only thing you should be looking at.
