FireWalk | How To Tune To 432 Hz In FL Studio (THE EASY WAY) @FireWalkMusic | Uploaded February 2021 | Updated October 2024, 7 hours ago.
This tutorial will show to tune to 432 Hz in FL Studio 20 as well as FL Studio 11, FL Studio 12 and so on. Recently, more people are claiming that music sounds better when A is tuned to 432 Hz. But is this really the case? Normally, A will be tuned to 440 Hz. That's the modern tuning standard most people use, and that's what FL Studio master pitch is set to by default.
However, there are many different tuning standards out there. If you want to achieve true Pythagorean tuning then the relationship between notes will also change, and in that case, adjusting the master pitch won't work.
So, should you tune to 432 Hz? Or is it just pseudoscience?
If you're watching this tutorial then I assume you already have an idea about what 432 Hz tuning is. As I said before, there are several different standards, and they only sound marginally different. Because the relationship between notes won't change, the harmonies will remain the same and therefore nothing will really change, except for the pitch, unlike with Pythagorean tuning (which is something I don't recommend doing).

Adjusting the master pitch this way will just pitch everything down by a marginal amount. This will arguably cause your music to stand out a bit from the rest, but will it sound better? Or worse? I guess it's a bit down to personal taste. Some people like this sound, others don't. I don't personally use this form of tuning myself, I stick to the A=440 Hz. Do whatever you feel works best for you.
Note that when doing this everything will be pitched down slightly, including samples and such, so be mindful of that.
