In a world so full of problems and lack of purpose, it can sometimes feel like nothing we do matters. If the end of everything is ultimately the heat death of the universe, then why should we even bother? The truth is that we all make our own purpose, and that purpose for a long time has been focused on paying the bills. We get up, go to work, make a paycheck, and do it all over again the next day. Sure, there are fun bits sprinkled in, but those parts often wind up as the b-plot to the movie that is our lives when they should be more of the main story.
In this video I look at what we might be able to do to take back our lives and focus on the things that truly matter. Companies are leaning more and more into AI, and there is a good chance the future will involve machines doing much of the "work", running the day-to-day operations and leaving a gap in the average person's life. Will we finally have the chance to truly focus on living? Or will we be relegated to some other menial tasks?
