The story of Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the best I've ever experienced. There's action, adventure, drama, romance. It has everything the wild west was known for. But does the main character, Arthur Morgan, have free will in the context of the world the game takes place in? For that matter, do the writers who created the story and the players who act out the robberies have free will?
The concept of free will and what it means is a hotly debated topic among philosophers and scholars. There are those who say we absolutely have it, and there are those who argue everything that happens is more or less scripted. This video aims to break down the argument against free will from my own perspective and make it easy to understand for those who may be unfamiliar with the topic.
