One major argument for overturning Roe v Wade was that a woman's right to choose should be left up to the individual states. This argument is the same one used for proponents of slavery and it's just as wrong now as it was then. The issue itself boils down to human rights, but it also extends to the fact that most reproductive healthcare for women falls squarely into what is commonly thought of as "abortion". Doctors are already refusing to perform any kind of care on pregnant women in some states for fear of being jailed or fined, and women suffered and even wound up unable to have children because care is being denied and delayed.
