'Le Vie Cave' are narrow sunken labyrinthine pathways through the mountainous regions of ancient Etruria. Carved out of the volcanic tuff, some of these routes have walls as high as thirty metres on either side of them. But in spite of the impressive amount of effort that went into creating the pathways, no one knows what the Etruscans used them for.
