"The rich are getting richer" is most definitely one of the expressions we are seeing more and more frequently, with the pace arguably picking up after the Great Recession, and this begs the question: are they?


Through this one minute video, we will find out as well as put things into context.


We won't just answer the question of why/how the rich are getting richer and leave it at that, the situation is far too nuanced for such an overly simplistic approach to make sense.


Instead, from context to reasons and from reasons to consequences, we will dig deep so as to answer a wide range of fundamental questions such as:


1) Why/how are the rich getting richer?


2) What can be said about the context associated with this trend?


3) What are the main reasons behind this (troubling) reality?


4) What consequences can or should we expect, especially in light of 2020's developments?


There is far more at play than just figuring out whether or not the rich are indeed getting richer, as this animation will hopefully make clear :)
