Sharing a few wholesome days in my life finding a sense of home in Essaouira, Morocco. Staying in places for longer periods of time whilst solo travelling really allows me to ease into a rhythm where I can balance maintaining the habits and routines that make me feel grounded whilst also getting out and about to experience a new place and at the same time, finding comforting corners of time and space to work remotely from.
I am once again leaving this city with a knowing inside me that it’s a see you later not a goodbye. It’s a see you later to the splintered rocky shoreline and the ocean that laps against the rocks. It’s a see you later to the horizon that swallows the fiery sun at the end of each day and to the frenzy of seagulls that glide through the sky held by the persistent exhale of wind. I feel fulfilled, inspired and so happy leaving Essaouira after having such a beautiful time here. I look forward to whenever I return.
