This award recognizes articles that represent outstanding scientific excellence and originality.
The study shows that by 2100, the combined effects will likely push Alaskaâs shoreline inland to a location not seen since the last interglacial period over 100,000 years ago. WHOI lead authors Roger Creel and Julia Guimond say this triple-threat poses serious risks to Native Alaskan villages and oilfield infrastructure under projected emissions scenarios.
