Who was Mandalore the Great? They were the first Mandalorian to hold the title of Mandalore, the leader of the entire Mandalorian culture, supposedly after taming a massive mythosaur on their planet and taking its skull as a symbol of their people. According to songs, they led Mandalorians in battles against the Jedi Order. Many aspects of Mandalorian technology was developed to counter the abilities of the Force users. It would appear that Mandalore the Great has replaced Mandalore the First from the Star Wars Legends continuity as the original Mandalore.
