What is Project Necromancer in Star Wars? It was the codename for Emperor Palpatine’s efforts to rule the galaxy indefinitely. Less than a year after the end of the Clone Wars, a facility in Mount Tantiss on the planet Wayland was established to continue cloning experiments. They hoped to learn how to clone an individual while also maintaining their midi-chlorian count and strength in the Force. Countless tests were run on clone troopers and Force-sensitive children, and it was discovered that a young clone named Omega was the key. But the laboratory was destroyed thanks to the efforts of an elite clone unit called the Bad Batch as well as a rampaging Zillo Beast. The head doctor was killed, the research was lost, and Mount Tantiss was seemingly abandoned. It would appear that Project Necromancer relocated to Exegol, where Sith acolytes continue their research, but their work was imperfect by the time of the Emperor’s death. Dathan, the father of Rey, was a strandcast produced by Project Necromancer who escaped Exegol shortly after the Battle of Hoth.
