This is another one of those remixes that I had started a year or so ago but never got around to finishing until somewhat recently. Unfortunately, I started this _before_ building my new PC, and in the process of moving everything over the creation time for the .ftm was overwritten. As such, there's not any timestamps for this remix. Sorry!

Fun fact: There was supposed to be a Game Boy port of the arcade Battletoads game called Super Battletoads! It was 100% finished before it unfortunately got shelved due to poor sales of the arcade version. Apparently some former Rare staff have a backup of the game, but it hasnt been posted online as of writing this description. I would really love to play it someday! In the meantime, though, I decided to make my own Game Boy remix of the first stage from this game. Im sure David Wises own version is way better, though!

Its hard to believe, but today marks the 25th anniversary of Spirited Away. This is one of those films I never get tired of watching, and its probably my favorite overall (alongside Who Framed Roger Rabbit). Of course, I had to do something for the 25th anniversary this year, so this was the result. It was really interesting trying to recreate a more piano-focused song in SNES, though admittedly Im really glad fur2amk was available by this point so I could make this arrangement on a tracker instead of having to write it down in MML. I hope it turned out well!

The Super Mario Galaxy Movies come out by now, and as such I wanted to do something for the occasion. I dont think Ive ever done an 8-bit remix of Gusty Garden Galaxy yet, so I tried to fix that! As an added challenge, I tried to arrange this using PPMCK again, just to see how that would work. I think it turned out well, but let me know what you think!

If youve been following the NES chiptune scene you mightve heard of a program called FamiStudio. FamiStudio aims to provide a way to compose for the NES sound hardware using a DAW similar to FL Studio. I dont personally ever use it because Im so used to Famitracker that its hard to switch over, but I like that the option is there. I bring this up because the same devs recently released a full fledged DAW that has support for *many* different sound chips, including the NES, Game Boy, Genesis, etc.
What I personally care about though is the MIDI/soundfont support. Ive wanted to try doing non-chiptune music for a while now, but didnt want to bite the bullet with FL Studios premium editions. As a test, I tried doing a remix of Into The Super Battle from Super Star Soldier, as that song got stuck in my head again. Side note: I actually first heard that song from the NES homebrew Blade Buster, and got caught off guard when I played Super Star Soldier at a convention. I think this arrangement turned out really great, and Ill definitely be messing around with KiraStudio in the future! Hope you enjoy, and let me know what you think of this!
