The Super Mario Galaxy Movies come out by now, and as such I wanted to do something for the occasion. I dont think Ive ever done an 8-bit remix of Gusty Garden Galaxy yet, so I tried to fix that! As an added challenge, I tried to arrange this using PPMCK again, just to see how that would work. I think it turned out well, but let me know what you think!

If youve been following the NES chiptune scene you mightve heard of a program called FamiStudio. FamiStudio aims to provide a way to compose for the NES sound hardware using a DAW similar to FL Studio. I dont personally ever use it because Im so used to Famitracker that its hard to switch over, but I like that the option is there. I bring this up because the same devs recently released a full fledged DAW that has support for *many* different sound chips, including the NES, Game Boy, Genesis, etc.
What I personally care about though is the MIDI/soundfont support. Ive wanted to try doing non-chiptune music for a while now, but didnt want to bite the bullet with FL Studios premium editions. As a test, I tried doing a remix of Into The Super Battle from Super Star Soldier, as that song got stuck in my head again. Side note: I actually first heard that song from the NES homebrew Blade Buster, and got caught off guard when I played Super Star Soldier at a convention. I think this arrangement turned out really great, and Ill definitely be messing around with KiraStudio in the future! Hope you enjoy, and let me know what you think of this!

I was wanting to mess around with fur2amk again, and decided on this song! Of course, Mabe Village isnt that long of a song in the Game Boy original, so I loosely based this remix off the remake on the Nintendo Switch. I hope it turned out alright!
