I have decided to take you all on this adventure as I explore the White River Formation in Northwest Nebraska! This place has become one of my favorite places to visit and I am super excited to show you all around! So come with me on this adventure!
On day 8 we headed to one of the most popular spots for our team to hunt. The Plateau! this area is not far from the highlands but it is one of the most fruitful places to look for fossils that we explore. And it did not disappoint!
At first, the strange fossil found eroding out of the ground was believed to be a pelvis... However as I dug around it, I discovered this pelvis has teeth!
Now it is a race against the clock to uncover what we now know to be a skull from the ground as the weather quickly starts to turn bad. going from a comfortable 70 degrees and sunny to 65mph winds and a hale storm in less than an hour!
