I haven't made a video to Merlin in so long, and I truly missed it. Once I heard this song, I was instantly inspired. If it wasn't for Heathyr's (aka ILoveThesePeople) gorgeous/flawless Destiel video, I never would have discovered it, so I have to give her credit for the song choice. I know there are a handful of Merlin videos to this song, but I wanted to try it out as well. I don't think I've ever been more proud of the result of my efforts. (I'm finally getting the hang of this vidding thing! Haha!) Please, please let me know what you think. Comments always make my day!
Plot - Follows the same basic plot of all 3 series, except Merlin and Morgana initially have a more romantic bond, and Merlin discovers that, after he poisons Morgana and she is taken away, Morgause has brainwashed her with evil magic, turning her against everyone she used to love. Merlin kills Morgause, and in a violent bout of passion and fury, the evil is exorcised from Morgana and dies along with Morgause. Now the only thing Merlin has left to do is reconcile with Morgana and try to explain why he poisoned her. She recognizes that his heart was pure and he was only looking out for Arthur and the rest of Camelot. The two lovers make immediate amends, and Merlin tells Morgana that if she is willing to go with him, they can escape the harsh rules and boundaries of Camelot that very night, only to return when Arthur becomes king and magic is allowed. She agrees, but, unbeknown to them, someone in the palace hears their conversation and tells Uther that his ward is being pursued by, not only a peasant, but a sorcerer as well. Merlin is sentenced to burn at the stake.
Ending (Spoilers!) - Arthur knows that what his father is doing is wrong, and he cannot bear to see Merlin executed, so he sneaks into the dungeon to set him free. The two friends share a goodbye and Merlin hurries off into the night to find Morgana who is waiting for him and a better life as refuges until that fateful day when Arthur takes Uther's place as king...
