After listening to an hour long podcast with Jake Epstein and Lauren Collins, I was fully convinced that I had to watch Degrassi. I had never seen it before, so I decided to start from the beginning.I honestly just wanted to see Lauren as Paige. I didn't expect to fall in love with the show like I did. Sure, it has its cheesy moments, but I think it rings true to high school and issues that many people face day to day.
The story that stuck with me the most (and almost haunted me in a way) was that of Ellie's. I think everyone can relate to her in a way. Maybe not in the self-mutilation sense, but doesn't everyone long to be loved? And don't we all lose control of our lives sometimes? Ellie is my favourite female character, and I really just felt for her and was incredibly moved by this episode in particular. The last line, "tomorrow" just gives me the chills every time. Her going to get help for her problem filled me with a sense of hope.
As soon as I heard this song, I immediately thought of Ellie and knew that I had to vid this episode because it was so powerful to me. I know this is an older episode and Stacey isn't even on the show anymore, but it still holds such relevance and power. I hope that people who might be struggling with the same issues as Ellie can learn from Degrassi.

This is possibly the greatest thing I have ever made.
While in my house during the lamest Halloween ever, I decided to have a Shrek marathon. Dont ask why. My father saw Charmings epic hair swing and said they need to make a whipping hair thing to that. Done.
