Need Acorn Shells, Acorn Tops, or Acorn Bits early in Grounded 2?
Thankfully, Grounded 2 handles a lot of its resources pretty literally.
Need acorns?
Find a giant oak tree. 🌳
One of the easiest places to stock up early is around the huge golden-yellow oak tree in the southwest portion of the map, in the Entrance region.
Once you reach the tree, search around its enormous roots and the ground surrounding the trunk.
The entire area is covered with acorns.
Bring your Omni-Hammer, crack them open, and collect the Acorn Shells, Acorn Tops, and Acorn Bits that drop.

⚠️ BE CAREFUL AROUND THE TREE
The southwest oak area contains some considerably more dangerous bugs than the starting zone.
You'll encounter plenty of spiders around the area, and as you progress you'll also need to worry about scorpions.
So if you're heading there extremely early, grab the acorns you need and don't assume everything underneath the pretty autumn tree wants to be your friend.
One thing I really like about Grounded 2 is how logically the resource locations work.
🫐 Need berries? Find a berry bush.
🍦 Need ice cream? Head toward the ice cream cart.
🌭 Need hot dog resources? Find the hot dog stand.
🌰 Need acorns? Find an oak tree.
It's incredibly simple...
until you remember you've been shrunk down to roughly the size of an ant and crossing twenty feet of park suddenly becomes an expedition through hostile wilderness.
For early-game Acorn Shells and Tops, head toward that giant southwest oak and start checking around the roots.
