This spring, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Utah teamed up with Hawthorne Elementary School 4th graders to celebrate their class project, Where Have all the Sego Lilies Gone? The students' research focused on the importance of protecting and conserving Utah’s endangered state flower, and highlighted the Sego Lily's cultural value. The students won first place in a statewide science contest, earned free national park passes from the BLM-Utah, and starred in their own video!
