If you write a quote in Microsoft Word and it ends with a question mark or an exclamation mark, or anything other than a comma really, Word will automatically capitalise the next word because it believes it’s a new and separate sentence. You can go to Settings, AutoCorrect, and turn off “Capitalise first letter of sentences.” But then it’ll do that for everything. So your only practical solution is to manually change it.
