Be careful with this. But if you go to the Finder, Settings, and click on Advanced, you can tick to select “Remove Items from the Bin after 30 days”. It does what it says, it permanently deletes anything in there, so it keeps you from filling up your storage space. But you can’t undo that delete and I don't want you blaming me.
