Previously… I did a video that said you could just ask Siri to read your writing aloud, although I did say there was a bug. It turns out, there are a lot of bugs: it works or it doesn’t work, seemingly depending on whether the wind is in the East. But. You can go to System Settings, Accessibility, Read and Speak, then turn on Speak Screen and I suggest Show Controller. That puts an icon on screen all the time, which is a pain, but it’s got a Play button that’s more reliable than other options.
