Sweetcorn is ripening earlier than usual this year after a long period of warm, dry weather. In this video I show you exactly what signs to look for when deciding whether your cobs are ready to pick, from the drying tassels to checking the kernels for perfect sweetness.

I also share a quick way to cut down the stalks after harvest and prepare them for composting in a no dig garden.
