Bringing your dog to public lands? Don’t forget the waste bags.
Pet waste should be picked up, packed out, and thrown away in a proper trash receptacle. Leaving it on trails, near campsites, or beside parking areas can affect water quality, wildlife, and the experience of other visitors.
Bagging it is only step one. Please don’t leave pet waste bags along the trail to “grab later.” Pack them all the way out and dispose of them properly.
