When diet and exercise don’t fix cholesterol, something else might be at play… your genes.

In this video, I unpack familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) — one of the most common inherited conditions. FH makes LDL cholesterol build up in the blood because the liver’s LDL receptors (the “loading docks”) don’t work properly. Sometimes the doors are broken, sometimes they’re missing, and sometimes an over-eager enzyme called PCSK9 scraps them altogether.

👉 If your cholesterol has stayed stubbornly high despite your best efforts, this short will help you understand why.
