![[The legend of Mr. Arata] Part 3 - Character Modeling in ZBrush
In this video, I am using ZBrush to sculpt a character from scratch. In fact, in this series, we will be working on the character named Mr. Arata from beginning to End. If you catch me on the live stream, you can even participate in making design decisions. Mr. Arata is a creation made by contributions from all of you.
At this point, Mr. Arata is a Magician who tries to get dragons under his control. He needs their power to take revenge against the king who is to blame for his wifes death. His wife was a demon... This is how far we got. Cant wait to get your ideas :)

![[Part 10/ 40] Anime Character 3D Modeling Tutorial II - Finishing Face
This video is the 10th part of 40 in this very detailed tutorial series about modeling. Ill take you through all the steps of anime style character creation in the 3d software called Blender and without any time lapse.
If you havent watched it already make sure to go through part 0! In that video Ill show you the final result and tell you all about the modifications I did with my version of Blender. Also youll find the references in the description of that video.
By the way, the character design was made by the creators of Sword Art Online and all credit goes to them. Im using it as an example to teach how to work with real characters as youd find them in any animation.

Download on BlendSwap: http://www.blendswap.com/blends/view/86549
So Ive created another character.
Going from 2d to 3d is quite difficult, especially with anime style characters. In this tutorial Im showing you my approach to modelling. The recording is speed up about four times, so the whole process took about 4 hours.
So Ill cover modelling of the face, hair, some cloths and set up some simple shading.
Im using Blender but feel free to use any Software you are comfortable with for your projects.
Hope this helps!

In this part of my new character modeling tutorial series for Blender 3.0 we will work on the base mesh of the horns and ears. I will focus mostly on poly modeling as it is easier to follow for beginners and only uses Blender features.
