This video is the 13th part of 40 in this very detailed tutorial series about modeling. I'll take you through all the steps of anime style character creation in the 3d software called 'Blender' and without any time lapse.
If you haven't watched it already make sure to go through part 0! In that video I'll show you the final result and tell you all about the modifications I did with my version of Blender. Also you'll find the references in the description of that video.
By the way, the character design was made by the creators of Sword Art Online and all credit goes to them. I'm using it as an example to teach how to work with 'real' characters as you'd find them in any animation.
Thanks for watching!

In this part of my new character modeling tutorial series for Blender 3.0 we will work on the base mesh of the horns and ears. I will focus mostly on poly modeling as it is easier to follow for beginners and only uses Blender features.

![Improving my Anime Character Modeling Workflow [ProjectUpdate]
So Ive practiced some modeling once again. Ive focused on ways to get more detail into my anime style characters. This time Im using cloth simulation and sculpting as well as retopology to archive the result you can see in the video. Ive also created a low poly version, tried to bake normal maps and rigged it in a simple way. Basically it is game ready but not very refined yet. Anyways, I hope you like the project!
