Everyone is saying the same thing right now: pivot to YouTube Shorts. But after analyzing data from dozens of channels I work with — from brand new creators to million-subscriber businesses. I’m not convinced that’s the right move if you’re serious about YouTube growth and monetization. In this video, I break down what’s actually happening with the YouTube algorithm, why long form content is losing homepage real estate, how AI content and Shorts are changing the platform, and why Shorts may not convert to subscribers, sales, or real income.
