Here's a peek into what my 8-month-old baby and I eat in a day. We're doing a combination of baby lead weaning, finger foods, pre-chewing harder meats, blended soups, etc. Basically, he eats whatever we eat and we don't stick to any one approach. We find that flexibility and variety is what works for us. And it seems to be working well because so far we haven't found any foods that he doesn't like. He's such a foodie! Just like his parents. :-)
Baked Salmon Recipe (serves 2):
♥ 250g (just over half a pound) salmon
♥ 1/2 tbsp mayo
♥ 1/2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
♥ 1 tsp Dijon mustard
♥ 1 tsp lemon juice
♥ 1 tbsp chopped parsley
♥ salt and pepper (omit the salt for a baby under 1 year old)
Bake at 190 degrees C (375 degrees F) for 14-15 minutes.
Pumpkin and Red Lentil Soup Recipe (serves 2-3):
Chop pumpkin into cubes, sprinkle with some olive oil and bake at 220 degrees C (430 degrees F) for 30 minutes.
Cook 1 small onion in a tablespoon of two of ghee.
Add 1/2 cup red lentils, add to the onion, add 2 cups of water and cook for around 40 minutes.
Add the pumpkin, a pinch of nutmet, blend, and enjoy!
Thank you for watching! Hope you enjoy the video! What was your baby's favourite food?
Simply yours,
Vita xx
