OK we're a couple weeks late but this video is too good not to share.
La Jolla, Calif., near San Diego, is home to the famous Scripps Pier. And twice a year, the sun sets over the horizon of the Pacific Ocean, perfectly centered between the outer posts of the pier.
Dozens of photographers flock to the pier in early May and early August every year. A similar phenomenon happens in New York, where locals call it Manhattanhenge, when the sun sets perfectly between skycrapers in the distance.
This time-lapse video from earlier this month was shared with ABC 6 by California-based landscape photographer Moon Sung Kim. Thank you, Moon!
