First, we're looking closely at a passage of film analysis in Victor Perkins's book Film as Film. Then, we're applying some of Perkins's techniques to a sequence from Marie Antoinette. And then, we're analyzing staging in the opening sequence of Rebel without a Cause (Ray, 1955)
