Marla Amps is at it again, this time with a splash into the guitar pedal world. The new Marla Amps Geriatric Chihuahua is somewhat of a mystery release, with an unlabeled enclosure giving it a "choose your own adventure" type experience. We'll unbox it, turn the knobs and see how it sounds!

From always-on tone enhancer, to gritty overdrive the foundational MOSFET circuit delivers classic tones great for edge-of-breakup sounds, indie rock tones or hard rock rhythm guitar tones. With the boost engaged, you get tones that rival the Insane channel on the old Line6 Spider amps (IYKYK).

The Spruce Effects Yosemite Reverb is actually an overdrive feeding into a spring-style digital reverb. Dialing the drive down lets you use the reverb on its own as a sparkly, bouncy spring reverb. Dial the Drive and Depth up and you can get blown-out fuzz saturation that blooms after hitting the reverb circuit. Its a ton of fun, and a really versatile box for $149!
