Following the success of the Americana series, Spruce Effects accepted the challenge of a more budget-friendly effects pedal lineup that captured the tones and textures of Americana. Enter: the Junior Ranger series! Are these the best pedals under $149? They sure are making a case for it, with beautiful aesthetics and great tones.
The Spruce Effects Yosemite Reverb is actually an overdrive feeding into a spring-style digital reverb. Dialing the drive down lets you use the reverb on its own as a sparkly, bouncy spring reverb. Dial the Drive and Depth up and you can get blown-out fuzz saturation that blooms after hitting the reverb circuit. It's a ton of fun, and a really versatile box for $149!
