La Canne Vigny was taught in the Bartitsu club in London in the Edwardian era. It was part of a self-defense curriculum for the English Gentleman.
In this play from the Pearsons Magazin focus on the crossguard - it did not gave it a name, so we choose the name crossguard as H.G. Lang used to call it in his walking stick method for self-defense.
His style was influenced by Pierre Vigny's method of using the walking stick.
