I told my mom I was going to Japan to experience the culture, visit traditional shrines and temples, and explore one of the most fascinating countries in the world. And technically… I did. But that definitely wasn’t the whole story.

Because when I wasn’t visiting shrines and temples, I was touring Nintendo Stores, hunting for Pokémon merchandise, visiting Kirby Cafés, exploring theme parks, going to Super Nintendo World, and basically turning the entire trip into the ultimate Nintendo and gaming pilgrimage.
