What happens when you make an Old Fashioned, Manhattan, Moscow Mule - but different? Something great if you’re using Sotol as the base spirit! Sotol is one of Mexico’s signature spirits (but I got one from Texas!), being a cousin to Tequila and Mezcal. Although Sotol was once considered a liquor for the drunks and peasants, it has enjoyed a revival in the last few decades, and we were fortunate enough to receive a bottle of Aged Texan Sotol from one of our Patrons, so you know I had to try it out. This one sits somewhere between tequila, mezcal and young whiskey, so if you like the sound of that - and if you enjoy quick and easy cocktails - pull up a chair and get ready to learn more about this unique spirit!
