What does Natsuki Subaru’s new Authority, Cor Leonis, actually do in Re:Zero? Subaru’s version of the Authority of Greed gives him a sixth sense that allows him to perceive the location and status of his allies, but its true power comes from its two forms.

In its base form, Subaru can take on the burdens and injuries of allies who mutually recognize him as one, transferring their pain and damage onto himself. Second Shift takes this further by allowing Subaru to distribute those burdens across multiple willing allies, share mana, and strengthen the group’s overall capabilities, while everyone shares the consequences.
