This was part of a fun day of competitions at the West Linn Oregon Skatepark - a funky slolam-style course that ran through the whole park. Harder than it looks. I couldn't finish the run without falling, I was never good at tight, frontside turns. :)

$Mandelverse Express - 001 This is the first in a series of short 3D fractal animations - quick peeks into the myriad possibilities of the Mandelbulb Universe. Most of the fractal animations Ive created for this channel took FOR-EVER to chug through and render all of the frames. Weeks, sometimes months. I thought it would be a fun change of pace to make a bunch of shorter animations - things that I could render in a day or two. This way well all get to see more crazy spaces, more often. Maybe Ill stumble upon something that needs a longer look. Or we might find Bigfoot playing Pac-Man with the Chupacabra - who knows? o.O Grab a seat and enjoy the journey. Had an idea to try painting tabletop miniatures in VR

$Slices 4 Another in my Slices series. These images are a part of the process I use to take 3D shapes from Mandelbulb 3D and convert them into usable mesh objects for ZBrush and Unity. They are thin slices of the fractal shapes that are stacked together to form the 3D objects - they also make for some really spiffy animations. :) I made the music using Looptastic Producer on iOS.
