Here is a little compilation to highlight some of the finest narrow gauge railways that Wales has to offer. First is a rare clip c.1910s of the Corris Railway's #4 before she was preserved at the Talyllyn Railway and named Edward Thomas. Next is footage from Whit Monday on 14 May 1951 where Bill Trinder cuts the tape to mark the first train under preservation of the TR Society with Dolgoch proudly pulling her train. Then is the Ffestiniog Railway's #2 Prince and her train along with a pair of Double Fairlie's and a quaint 0-4-0 saddle tender engine. Then is the Welshpool and Llanfair's 2-4-0. Finally is the Snowdon's cog railway engines which are oh so intricate and Swiss-inspired. Hope you enjoy!
