You’ve heard of the Batmobile, but what about the Borsch Mobile? Off the Grid, California’s largest weekly food truck gathering, is an unmistakably San Francisco function that showcases the city’s cultural and culinary diversity in a way only the Bay Area can. Check, Please! Bay Area reporter Cecilia Phillips checks it out to try one secret recipe after another, from fan-favorite chicken satay to cochinita pibil, fresh churros to slow-cooked (15 hours!) brisket. And bonus! On the third Friday of each month, Off the Grid at Fort Mason Center hosts Fido Friday, which means specials for guests who bring their dogs — including yappy hour! 🐶

Support for Check, Please! Bay Area is provided by Oakland International Airport, IRG, Total Wine and More, Sutter Health, Fog Harbor Fish House, and Oceania Cruises.
