Recent events prompted an emotional response from my students. They had many questions, thoughts and feelings. I encourage my students to use music as that all-important outlet for their confusion and upset, so our conversation culminated with the song, "We Shall Overcome." After learning the song earlier this week in honor of the great Dr. Martin Luther King, we are sharing this today in hopes of a more unified future, and as a reminder that there is a younger generation relying on us to set the example....
