We Saw Kangaroos, Hyenas, Dinosaurs & Much More On The Aikman Wildlife Walk-Thru Adventure!
We really enjoyed out trip to the Aikman Wildlife Adventure attraction in Arcola, Illinois! When we got there, we first went on the Drive-Thru Adventure, and then afterwards went into the Gift Shop and saw several animals there as well. But then we stepped outdoors to do the Walk-Thru Adventure, and saw all the wildlife they had located along their walking paths. This was also a lot of fun, and we were very impressed! We saw many different kinds of animals, but the first animals we saw were the Kangaroos and Wallabies, and we were surprised to see guests inside their enclosure petting them! It turns out that there are several different up-close experiences that you can purchase while you're there, with one of them being the Kangaroo and Wallaby Encounter. And at the time of our visit, it was only $10 per person for an approximately 10 minute visit with them! We didn't do that on this trip, but we definitely will in the future. We also got to feed some goats, sheep, and deer, which was very fun too...they were hungry! And at the end, we went through the Museum of Prehistoric Life, which was awesome! The Museum features life-size replicas of dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals, all very well done. If you're coming through Illinois or you live here, we'd highly recommend that you take the time to go to the Aikman Wildlife Adventure, and experience some great, up-close, animal experiences!
