Recently we had an EPIC series of livestreams in the studio talking all about sunsets! It’s always loads of fun hanging out in the studio with my Tisch Academy peeps.
I built this painting up in a couple of sessions, working over a dried block in, I then layered in the colours demonstrating how to capture the heat without achieving mud - it’s a trick, let me tell you!
The best part? We were using the crummiest references. One overcast seascape scene, and another sky from a different part of the world. I think it has legs.
I may get in touch with a confectionary company and get them to use this painting to adorn their latest collection of chocolates… thoughts?
