If you don’t know this was in a scene in the season 2 final of Owl House, King’s Tide. (Spoilers for The Owl House season 2 final) This is the scene where King sacrifices himself to make sure Luz and all her friends are safe. This scene along with the rest of the episode was so good!!! I tried my best to keep the dramatic and emotional feel of Brad Breecks amazing soundtrack in my cover! This will not be the last song I’ll be covering from this incredible episode!
I have been wanting to cover “We Gotta Stick Together” for a while now! Basically, I was originally going to make a video that would feature both a cover of “If We’re Gonna Play Owl House…” and a cover of “We Gotta Stick Together”. The only issue was I ran out of time. Because of that I was only able to get around to making a cover of “If We’re Gonna Play Owl House…”. If you want me to make a video with both covers in it, just tell me down below and I’ll see if I can get around to it!

You know sometimes when you are a recovering metal head you just need to write an extremely edgy, dark, intense, and epic song. Darkness was originally a piece I wrote all the way back in 2018. It was the second original song I released on this channel. Given that it was one of the first songs I ever released, it was extremely edgy, and not going to lie it kind of sucked. Given that it is spooky season, I decided to see how I would write this song today. So, I give to you the hybrid orchestral song now named Hellish Agony (Darkness: Recalibrated).
I was surprised how much of the original song I kept in this new version. The only thing I took out from the original was the second half of its bridge. I did change up the order of things though, turning what was essentially an AABA formatted song into a verse/chorus song. I turned the intro and the first have of the bridge into verses and made what was originally the verses into choruses. I added a completely original bridge too. A bridge that devolves into twelve-tone theory because it’s Halloween season and why not. The twelve-tone starts at about 1:53, but it doesn’t become complete twelve-tone until 2:03.
