Fullmetal Pianist | She (dodie) | Transfem Cover/Hybrid Orchestral Cover @fullmetalpianist | Uploaded 1 year ago | Updated 1 hour ago
It’s January, so I thought it would be a good time to cover a song you wouldn’t normally find me covering on my channel. Don’t worry I’ll be back to covering my usual cartoon songs soon. In fact my next video will probably be Owl House related!!! Today however I present to you a hybrid orchestral cover of one of my favorite songs of all time, She by Dodie.
This song is so heartbreaking and sad, I love it so much!!! Listening to Dodie’s 2019 re-release of this song brings me to tears everytime! I want to leave my cover up to interpretation so I won’t go into too much detail on how I relate to this song. That being said, I find it delightful how much I, a lesbian trans woman, can relate to this song. A song that was written by a bisexual cis woman. I find myself relating to it in a way that’s somehow extremely similar yet completely different. I think that’s something that I really love about art. How an individual piece of art can speak to so many different people in so many different ways!
