Fullmetal Pianist | In the Depths (Original Song) | Oceanic/Beautiful/Ambient Hybrid Orchestra @fullmetalpianist | Uploaded 3 years ago | Updated 1 hour ago
In the Depths, is a very oceanic sounding song I made that is in a dark, beautiful, and ambient hybrid orchestral style.
If I remember right the original inspiration for this oceanic music was from the Adam Neely video, Can the Phrygian Scale sound "happy?". As you can see, this composition changed drastically over time. The original idea was something like what you hear at about 1:09, with the bouncy and fun strings. But one day I was feeling blue or something and I thought, “What if I take these chords and arpeggiate them?” (Arpeggiate: playing a chord as a series of ascending or descending notes). I then came up with something like what you hear at the beginning of the song (0:14).
