We woke up to a total winter wonderland today! The news predicted a massive storm with heavy winds and snow, and for once, they were actually right. It has been snowing since the middle of the night, and our three Siberian Huskies are absolutely thrilled. Memphis, Kira, and Eleanor couldn't wait to get outside. Memphis specifically had the zoomies, running around like crazy despite the freezing wind. It really is a husky's dream come true!
While the dogs played, Jamie and I had to brave the dangerous, icy roads to get shear pins for the snowblower—talk about a white-out! After making it back home safely, we decided to keep things cozy indoors. We cooked up some delicious great northern bean soup with ham and authentic southern cornbread muffins. There is honestly nothing better than warm soup on a freezing cold day like this.
We also took some time to open some belated birthday gifts and packages from our amazing friends, Carol and Peachy! We were blown away by the Detroit Red Wings kitchen gear and a beautiful Nightmare Before Christmas Jim Shore statue. However, things got a little silly when Eleanor decided she was terrified of the empty cardboard boxes. Join us for a fun, snowy day in the life of the Snow Dogs!
