Well, good, wonderful, beautiful morning, Pawdience! We woke up to a surprise snowstorm that we weren't even supposed to get! While we estimated about 8 inches of fresh powder, some areas nearby got over a foot. Memphis, Kira, and Eleanor are absolutely loving the "smooshing" weather, though the deep drifts were a bit much for Memphis at first. To help her out, Jamie got to work with the snowthrower to create a custom "racetrack" path through the yard so the girls can run circles without getting stuck in the deep stuff!
While the dogs enjoyed their morning, Jamie and I headed out for a beautiful ride through the snow-covered pines. The trails were breathtaking with the snow hanging heavy on the trees, though we did have a minor "Austin Powers" moment trying to turn the Jeep and trailer around in the tight, snowy parking area! We even checked out a nearby lake—though we stayed safely in the reeds to avoid the muck.
We are also so excited to announce that we are heading to Virginia for the Super Pet Expo on March 13th, 14th, and 15th! Come celebrate Kira’s birthday with us and meet the whole crew. After a long day of snowmobiling and backyard zoomies, the girls are tuckered out and ready for their bedtime cookies. Life is short, make memories with your dogs!
