We dug RADIOACTIVE rocks in a forest 🌲 @Radiacode

We went deep into the forests near Budapest with RadMinerals to hunt for naturally radioactive thorium bearing rocks! (He is such a cool person by the way)

From mapped hotspots and radioactive holes reaching around 10 µSv/h, to digging, scanning and eventually using gamma spectrometry to identify what we found... this turned into a much bigger adventure than expected, and the nature was absolutely beautiful.

And yes, apparently the route was “only five miles.” 🥲
